DREAM MECHANICS

"Dream Mechanics isn’t exactly a band. It’s a project, it’s music and it’s poetry." – states their MyspaceMusic page. In practice, DREAM MECHANICS is a performing band that made a stage debut in Moscow in February 2007 and featured four well-know artists. The project’s founder and leader Ilya Richter is a popular radio dj and major force behind "Richter FM", the 5-hour night-show at the "Silver Rain" radio station. Bassist Viktor Shapovalov is a leader of the VFSix band. Keyboardist Nick Zavriev aka AMBIDEXTROUS also performs with LIGHT UNDER WATER. And, known for his works in the past as a drummer of I AM ABOVE ON THE LEFT and uSSSy, Sergey Ledovski is currently working with SILENCE KIT, LOST WEEKEND, LUMENY, K.U. STREET SPRING and dozens of other Moscow-based indie-bands. Blending together various elements of post-rock, space-rock, trip-hop, spoken word, ambient and downtempo electronics, DREAM MECHANICS create relaxing, dreamy and hypnotic music that appeals to the lovers of soft and delicate neo-psychedelia.

"Screensaver" is an official DREAM MECHANICS' full-length debut which is also available as a manufactured CD in patched ejector-slimcase. Limited to 500 copies. The CD contains an additional track that is performed in Russian and is not available on the mp3-release (6 tracks - 63 min.). Price: $11.00.
